3 Peaks Challenges

The National 3 Peaks Challenge is an attempt to climb the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales within a 24 hour period.

We have a dedicated bus hire team with a vast knowledge on the National 3 Peaks Challenge

If you want to do this course with the added benefit of having a sleep between climbs, our team will be able to assist with your itinerary and give you guidance with regards to timings

Typical challenge itinerary




Bus pick up and drive to Fort William
Bus arrives Fort William Over Night Stay


Accommodation to Ben Nevis – 5 hr climb
Ben Nevis to Scafell Pike – 6 hr Drive
Bus arrives Scafell Pike – 5 hr climb
Scafell Pike to Snowdon – 5.5hr drive


Bus arrives Snowdon – 4 hr climb
Snowdon to Back to pick up point

Please note: This itinerary is a guide only. It can be subject to change dependent upon viability, course members’ fitness, weather conditions, injury or for any other reason


Vehicle Sizes

16 Seater Bus – Advise no more than 8 – 10 passengers

24 Seat Bus- Advise no more than 11 – 16 passengers

34 Seat Coach- Advise no more than 17 – 24 passengers 

49 Seat Coach- Advise no more than 25 – 36 passengers (can seat up to 49 but advise not to comfortable)

We don’t send 72 seat Coaches as there are access issues at Scafell Pike for a 72 seat

Due to the nature of the challenge you will require a driving team to ensure the safety of all passengers, whilst on the vehicle.  We will take care of all drivers’ accommodation.

Whilst you are climbing the drivers will stay with the vehicle and wait your return. The drivers have all done the 3 peaks challenge before so are flexible with timings. Just in case you’re faster than anticipated or slowed down by injury.

Yorkshire Dales 3 Peaks

 Walking Route

Yorkshire Dales 3 Peaks Walk (the walk can be completed in 12 Hours)

The Coach will drop you off at Pen Y Ghent, so you can start your walk. The drivers will then travel to Whernside and are there when you arrive so the walkers can restock with water and supplies. Once you have departed the driver will then head to Ingleborough and again meet you to restock on water before heading back to Horton in Ribblesdale to complete the traditional Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge

Pen Y Ghent to Whernside = Coach Travel time 45 Minutes

Whernside to Ingleborough = Coach Travel time 50 Minutes

Ingleborough to Pen Y Ghent = Coach Travel time 35 Minutes
