This is an interesting article on the use of customer service tools from the Guardian.

At Momentum Coach Hire (MCH) we use a variety of customer service tools to help customers with their coach trip, we have out of hours telephones, text messages with contact numbers, a customer service manager to deal with problems, we ask every customer to review our service and we monitor our social presence to respond to customer complaints.

In the current 24hour culture customer expect this and especially with the nature of the coach hire business.
